Decarbonising the Netherlands
The TROEF consortium aims to develop carbon neutral cities across the Netherlands, powered by TYMLEZ
In a consortium led by construction giant, Royal Bam, TYMLEZ is working with industry leaders to develop a carbon neutral energy communities. Providing users with capabilities such as peer-to-peer energy trading and the ability to trade CO2 certificates, the TROEF consortium is delivering a full suite of energy community solutions leveraging the capabilities offered by TYMLEZ
Project Partners

Industry titans
The nine consortium partners all contribute to a joint effort toward lowering the costs of the transition to a more sustainable future by connecting communities through the internet of energy (IoE), in which participants are rewarded for their contributions to a healthy, sustainable, and connected environment.

Project Goals
By connecting communities through the internet of energy, users will have access to a platform for sharing of the sustainably generated green energy. A collaborative, transparent, and comprehensive approach to solution design, development, and implementation will lead to:
- Accelerated decarbonisation through using energy at times when sustainable energy is available, including storing energy for delayed consumption.
- A reduction in energy costs by rewarding users for their contribution to demand response programs and frequency control services.
- Energy communities working together towards accelerating the transition to a fully renewable grid by sharing energy generation and storage capabilities.
